You’re uncomfortable, and despite your best efforts, it simply will not go away on its own. Your feelings of anxiety and hopelessness are worthy of acknowledgment because often, it feels like those around you couldn’t possibly understand how deep that pain truly is. When our external self does such an excellent job of masking how we feel inside, we don’t feel seen, and we don’t feel heard.

That’s a very lonely space to be.

Despite all that pain and anxiety, you are here, and you are taking action. I admire your bravery to begin healing. Hard truth, life is messy, but your trauma and anxiety don’t have to define you. You have had things happen in your life that were painful, traumatic, and at times yes, absolutely unfair. Let’s work together to lift your barriers one by one.

You deserve compassion and empathy. I’m here to help. It’s time to see yourself as an empowered person who is worthy of love and deserving of support. Reach out anytime. I can’t wait to meet you.

You are anxious, depressed, overwhelmed, and feeling disconnected. It might be difficult to express what and how you have been feeling, which perpetuates the original distress. Sources of these feelings may begin with trauma, life transitions, or conflict with yourself or loved ones.

These feelings can make us feel stagnant, but there is hope. The beautiful part of this is that you are willing to seek help and find meaning and purpose in your human experience. Your story matters and deserves to be heard. You deserve support in navigating this.

I will meet you right where you are at. We will work together to create a safe space to move forward with a collaborative approach that allows for reflection, healing, and growth. Through this dynamic, your resiliency is inherently highlighted. Your strengths and areas of growth are transformed into a tool for you to have moving forward.

I work with adolescents and adults who want help navigating their pain in however it presents itself, and finding means to reach their individual hopes and dreams. An approach I am able to provide in addition to talk therapy is art therapy, which utilizes creative expression to help you name and navigate the feelings which may feel impossible or difficult to be expressed in words.

I’m looking forward to hearing from you. Please contact me for a free 15 minute consultation.

I am a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) working in Hermosa Beach, California. I completed my B.A in Psychology at Boston University and have a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from the California School for Professional Psychology. I am currently finishing a Doctor of Psychology program (PsyD) also at the California School for Professional Psychology.

I have lived in five different countries in Europe and Latin America and have experience working with a diverse range of people. I am bilingual in Spanish and have trained extensively in developing cultural competence and awareness. I am LGBT affirming and have worked with clients from a variety of religious and cultural backgrounds.

Due to my diverse background and extensive training, I can provide a different perspective on life’s problems. My approach to therapy is based on developing a deep emotional connection with the people in our lives, improving self-esteem, accessing inner resources to cope with difficulties, and learning to have compassion for ourselves and others. Although therapy can be very helpful when we are going through a difficult time in our lives, it is an important self-care practice. Just like we attend yoga or the gym to take care of our bodies, taking care of our emotional and mental health is just as important. For me, wellness needs to be holistic, both body and mind need to be treated to truly live peaceful and fulfilling lives.

In addition to being a strong advocate for mind-body wellness, I have experience working with a wide range of issues: anxiety, depression, eating disorders, relational problems, addiction, financial problems, postnatal depression and anxiety, child life/ parenting, infertility, loss and life transitions.

“Therapy is a journey filled with roses and thorns.”

Currently Accepting Telehealth Clients

Just like roses and thorns, our life changes with the season and time. There are times when life can be debilitating and overwhelming such as when you stub yourself with a thorn or when the rose petals start falling off after being exposed to unfavorable weather conditions much like life transition and adjustments. These life transitions and changes can lead to uncharacteristic ways of working through life’s challenges and have secondary effects on our relationships, social responsibilities and overall make life harder. Let’s work together in creating a non-judgmental space where we can collaborate to explore new mindful strategies to help heal your spirit, mind, and emotional response to the demands of life changes and prepare for future situations. Let’s work together to establish healthier routines and clear the smoke between your true self and the reflection in the mirror that is difficult to see because of all the uncertainty we face as human beings.

As a bilingual therapist, I hope to be that catalyst of support to help release what’s holding you back from your personal growth. The therapy journey we begin together will be like rain bringing in a sigh of relief after a drought in a desert. That rain will assist in strengthening the relationships you are involved in whether they are professional, dating, or family, we can always work towards watering the seeds of our relationship so they can blossom and not wilt. We do that by identifying solutions, identifying noble intentions to the most challenging situations, and exploring your inner strengths so we can create a healthier narrative of your experience and promote long-lasting change in yourself and the relationships you are involved in.
